BAD SODEN, GERMANY

 

This garden is located in Bad Soden, Germany and was designed in collaboration with Brita von Schoenaich.

 

The client wanted us to design the part of the garden immediately next to the newly build conservatory.  She was looking for a modern interpretation of the parterre to be made work with asymmetrical hilly site immediately next to the conservatory. 

 We suggested extending the existing privet hedge to serve as a background to the modern parterre system of box hedges.  In addition, we gave the client the list of plants that would look good within hedge structure in different seasons. The client implemented the garden scheme.
